tara bonner - one starbucks on the corner clearly isn't enough

Tara Bonner grew up in Kilmarnock, a small town in Virginia, which is surrounded primarily by beautiful stretches of untouched land. It was this that motivated her to create her series “Senseless Deterioration.” Tara moved to Philadelphia to attend the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where she received her BS in photography. After moving and rarely seeing even a slight bit of untouched nature, Tara realized just how much we as humans lack the appreciation that we should have of nature and its pureness. Tara saw more and more each day it becoming a norm for nature to be senselessly exchanged for convenience of the consumers, major money boosts, and for companies to dominate in their particular industries. Tara wanted to explore these ideas through image making as to appeal to a larger audience in how big of a problem this really is becoming.
